Anita Sturmova – Physiotherapist
During this long time I endured injuries as did many of my friends. I started athletics when I was 12 years old. Since then my interest in physiotherpy has come a long way. It has always been my dream to study this field, so in 2007 I entered the 2nd Medical Faculty of Charles University, where the study was led by the idol of Czech physiotherapy Prof.Paedr. Pavel Kolář, Ph.D. The study focused on the developmental kinesiology of the childhood.
After the University, I worked for 3 years at an orthopedic and neurological clinic in Prague. Then came my first trip abroad. My destination was Saudi Arabia, where I spent over 2 years workingat a private clinic. Only women and children with various disabilities and birth defects were treated there.
I‘ve always traveled a lot and had a large interest in the spiritual level of life. In some parts of the world the spiritual life is developed so much that it serves to solve various diseases.
After returning from Saudi Arabia, I visited China, where I spenta year working in the public hospital on the rehabilitation department. My task there was to implement western physiotherapeutic methods to the local rehabilitation department.
I professed myself to lecturing there and at the same time looked at the procedures of the traditional Chinese medicine, which I later began to study and which increased my interested very much. The Chinese have developed psychosomatical medicine a lot, even on the musculoskeletal system. You could even say that musculoskeletal system is the last link, where the problem manifests itself. It inspires me increase my knowledge in Western physiotherapy, Eastern phytotherapy, acupuncture or other directions of the Eastern movement therapy.
Since 2017, I have also begun to deal with movement therapy for disabled seniors and patients with multiple sclerosis.
